قررت نيابة أمن الدولة العليا يوم 14/2/2021 حبس إسلام ضيف 15 يوما علي ذمة التحقيقات في القضية رقم 65 لسنة 2021 حصر أمن دولة علي خلفية اتهامه بالانضمام لجماعة إرهابية ونشر أخبار كاذبة وإساءة استخدام مواقع التواصل الاجتماعيوقد تم القبض على إسلام ضيف يوم 25 يناير 2021 من محيط وسط البلد بعد توقيفه وتفتيش هاتفه المحمول .
