قضت محكمة جنايات القاهرة، المنعقدة بمجمع محاكم طرة، بمعاقبة حسن مالك و نجله حمزة وخمسة آخرين بالسجن المؤبد، ومعاقبة ثلاث متهمين بالسجن المشدد ١٠ سنوات، وتبرئة 14 آخرين، في اتهامهم بالقضية المعروفة إعلاميا ب "الإضرار بالاقتصاد القومي". كما تضمن الحكم مصادرة الأوراق المضبوطة، والزام المحكوم عليهم بالاشتراك في دورات التأهيل، ووضع المحكوم عليهم تحت مراقبة الشرطة لخمس سنوات بعد انقضاء العقوبة. وكان النائب العام المستشار نبيل أحمد صادق، قد أحال حسن مالك وعبدالرحمن سعودي، و21 متهما إلى المحاكمة بتهم الاضرار بالاقتصاد والانضمام لجماعة محظورة . The Cairo Criminal Court, held at the Tora Courts Complex, sentenced Hassan Malik, his son Hamza and five others to life imprisonment, three defendants were sentenced to 10 years in prison and 14 others were acquitted of accusing the media of harming the national economy. The judgment also included the confiscation of seized papers, the convictions of those sentenced to participate in rehabilitation courses, and the placement of sentenced persons under police supervision for five years after the expiry of the sentence. Attorney-General Nabil Ahmed Sadiq had referred Hassan Malik and Abdul Rahman Saudi, and 21 defendants to trial on charges of damaging the economy and joining a banned group. Tora Mahkemeleri Kompleksi'nde düzenlenen Kahire Ceza Mahkemesi, Hassan Malik, oğlu Hamza ve beş kişiyi ömür boyu hapis cezasına çarptırdı, üç sanık 10 yıl hapis cezasına çarptırıldı ve 14 kişi daha medyanın ulusal ekonomiye zarar vermekle suçlanmasından beraat etti. Kararda, ele geçirilen belgelere, rehabilitasyon kurslarına katılmaya mahkum olanların mahkumiyetlerine ve cezanın sona ermesinden beş yıl sonra mahkumların polis gözetimine yerleştirilmesine de yer verildi. Başsavcı Nabil Ahmed Sadık, Hasan Malik ve Abdul Rahman Suudi ile 21 sanığı, ekonomiye zarar verme ve yasaklı bir gruba katılma suçlamasıyla yargıladı.
